When I was making the cap markers for plastic bottles, the first thing I wondered was how many to include in one set.
You can use just two, and there are many situations where four would be enough.
Even so, we ultimately decided on a quantity of eight.
Regarding the quantity of eight
If you're only using them at home, having enough for each family member might be sufficient.
However, when considering outings or travel, the situation changes a bit.

These are all common occurrences.
If you only have "just the right number," it can be a bit inconvenient in these situations.
Having a little extra allows you to:

That's how they can be used.
After much consideration, eight was the most practical number.
Regarding the size
This cap is designed to be placed over the original cap of a plastic bottle.
Its appearance is just slightly larger than the original cap.
It doesn't get in the way when attached, but it's still clearly visible as a marker.
After using it, we settled on this balance.
Too large would make it cumbersome, and too small would diminish its purpose.
It feels like it's in between.
Regarding the material
We use a slightly soft material for the caps.
Plastic bottle caps vary slightly depending on the manufacturer and shape.
A slightly stretchy material made it easier to attach and remove without worrying.
Neither the quantity of eight nor this size is meant to dictate "how you should use it."
It's about whether you can use it on the go without worrying about the small details.
We decided on the shape based on that criterion.
