I've placed my smartphone on a towel rack while brushing my teeth in the washroom.
I've tried using the towel on the rack as a non-slip surface, or adjusting the angle just right against the wall.
But it always ended up falling.
Thankfully, it wasn't a great height, but dropping a smartphone on the floor is not a pleasant experience.
Surprisingly, there isn't much space for a smartphone in the washroom.
There are few flat surfaces, and they're often wet or cluttered. Sometimes, even when you just "want to place it for a moment," you can't find a suitable spot.
Still, I want to look at the screen for a bit while brushing my teeth.
So, I changed my approach and thought:
"What if I could create a smartphone holder here?"
That's how I came to create a smartphone stand that sits on a towel rack.
This stand is designed to hang on the pole of a towel rack.
Instead of placing it directly on the washbasin, it's supported by the wall and the pole, which reduces instability when placed.
It eliminates one instance of "where should I put this?"
It's a small thing, but the small hesitations you face daily in a place you use every day are more relieving to get rid of than you'd expect.
