Specifically, it's effective in two scenarios: the moment you release your hand after placing your smartphone, and when you operate the screen.
The moment you release your hand is when you might feel a slight unease about the entire stand potentially sliding off the pole.
When operating the screen, the force of taps and swipes is applied horizontally.
With the non-slip feature, in both scenarios, the force that would cause the stand to move is significantly reduced.
Although it's not visible from the outside, you'll notice its effectiveness almost immediately after you start using it.
